Letters in Sequence

Collaboration between Michael Garland and Alizeh Aziz

Letters in Sequence

Some words die in muddy surrender
Ink won’t take in cloudy drink
Some thoughts are said with random thunders
Some strangeness revealed upon the brink
Let shine words with the greatest of care
Emotions in motion run everywhere
Let shine words in the very best meaning
My promise to you is to not be deceiving

What are words?
Letters few,
But carries forth the emotions,
Betwixt me and you,
Whatever be the thunder,
That envelopes these letters,
These would still remain,
Feelings, artistically scattered,
No promises are needed,
But just the truth,
That would define the indefinable
....

Knock Knock

Knock Knock

Mirror shows me twisted lies
Who I am deep in my mind
So little shown so much inside
Parts of me I can’t abide

Steam the mirror before it’s clear.
I still look good …don’t I dear?
Sudden gasp look in my eyes,
I spy the look of another’s guise,

Angry wanting, secret, closed
Trying hard to stay composed
I am a rogue with gentle blues
Sweet as pie with attitude

Fall down from the bitter tree
Castigate the man in me
Wake upon the tiled floor
Don’t worry guys been here before

Dark Thoughts

Dark Thoughts

Show me some color  I see only gray
Living deep in between is really nowhere to stay
Naively seeing life through a poets colored glasses
I think I will close them now and hide from the masses
Goodnight sweet dreamer
I’ve nothing more to dream
I don’t want to see
I don’t want to feel
I don’t want to play
I don’t want to want anymore
Victim of romantic notions
Flailing about in a fool’s stormy ocean
I’ve been in love with love but no more I think
I’ll think no more I think, that is what I think

In Between

In Between
We will see the sky painted in oceans blue
Because in between there is only me and you
We will breathe deeply and not be repelled
At the elusive line between heaven and hell
Sometimes I hide in shadows and I sing alone
Feral and hungry I growl and I moan
I imagine you singing, our voices meld
My beast then slumbers once more repelled
Awaken human let my guitar sing
Of gentler climes and lovely things
Can’t see in the dark or stare at the sun
We meet in the twilight like mustangs we run
Bite the fruit of Eden lick the juice on my chin
Goodbye regrets we’ve bought our sin.
Cast off the past, play our favorite tune
Secret dancers under light of the moon

Familiar Hello’s

Familiar Hello’s

You called my soul
You!!
Yes!
 I see you
Long lost dream
Comfort my present as thou hast caressed my past?
In slumbers gentle past thou hast been home perpetual
Mine own lover’s grail and I drink thee deeply
Beloved thou art truly mine in myriad knowing of what was and what is.
Why else would your words caress like a thousand fireflies
Revealing you to me once again
Leaving me shaking and breathless
You’ve revealed love’s gossamer thread
Binding the millennial resonance of you and I
The song of We
For I have slept this sleep with thee in a thousand forms
I have dreamt this dream of beloved and the eyes that lead to you
I see you
The eyes
The hint of greater beauty
The familiar beckoning
The tender reconciliation
My one heart
My sweet repose of love

C Me C U

C Me C U

I see shadows dance within your eyes
Whispered outrage for parts that have died
Diminished to control by little minds
Let me cradle the woman\child inside
My poor broken one
Look to me

See the better man before you
Stronger arms with untapped devotion
I have the kiss to waken sweeter emotion
Give me a smile if you’ve taken a notion
My beautiful woman
Look to me

I hear you scream without a sound
Yet still your light warmly surrounds
I never knew; how could I know?
What’s shining inside you could nourish my soul
A man that was broken suddenly whole
My soft and lovely one
Look to me

We have loved and lost in mist of time
I’m with you now and yes! it feels right
I won’t regress, while your is heart mine
Point the compass to true loves light
My sweetest love
Look to me

Form with me a sweeter dance
Forget cold hearts and empty hands
I will write my love upon your body
Poet and Poetess feeling so naughty
My shining one
Look to me
Then look again

Ivory Tower

Ivory Tower

Upon the cliff top Rapunzel she perched
Renting her gown in the final purge
I spied her intent calling “ fight the urge”
Rapunzel’s despaired “ I haven’t the nerve”
Reprieve I would take
Would my true love allayed
The one who’s forsaken has kept me waylaid
Cast in an ivory tower is no life you know
Her jailor muted to only worship below
Blinded by progressions haste
Words of poison and rape
Why does he deceive and bereave
I’ve no more horizon
no more to achieve
I’ve rented my tresses for the final ropes weave
Once to often my hearts been deceived
Hence craft of my own making I have achieved
Aiding the soliquial curtains taking
A parachute to oblivion from a life of senseless hating
Rapunzel don’t go for I am he
I am the one who would marry thee
I’ve been waylaid and shorn and  shown great refuse
I tarried the night away with the devils own muse
I’ve acted the rogue in rebellious deluge
I see now my fortune is cast with thee
Rapunzal don’t go have discourse with me
one moment in time to look in my eyes
Yes you could jump or you could be mine
Rapunzel Rapunzel let me change your mind

Fly Away

Fly Away

I caught a feather of Icarus bane
Singed and worn with a magical shame
I thought flying high wasn’t really the sin
Never landing must have been it then?
Linear progression
Tunneled obsession
Failed succession
Solarial desperation
I blame him not for failed flight
Like a moth to flame he wanted light
My sun rises caressing my cheek
When she whispers my name
I thrill as she speaks
Back off brothers she is mine
I’m keeping this sun for all time
I am hers and she mine
I gift you this feather
Fly for another to find

My Venus

Where is my morning star?
Thy garden calls attendance
How odd is thy absence from favored bloom
Why must thy flame ride the edge of night?
Hast thou traveled the far shore?
Oh the bitter miles separate beloved
Venusian dreams in dulcet tones pulls my beloved to infant reawakening
Dark one stay thy scythe,  hold thy ancient labor
Languish a dark and dreary moment
I would see the light in her eyes for a few breaths meter
Let me blanket my love in eternal claimance
I beseech a dark boon heedless of cost
If not….
Wait for me love.
Wait between dawn and dusk
Tarry between heaven and hell
I will attend thee in due course
We will sail through oceans of time
No goodbyes
No regrets
Aloha oe
Until we meet again.

So·lil·o·quy by Michael Garland and Shilpa Sandish

Let the world stop and die
Not so my beloved and I
Like the dawn of all contentment
we have forever in each other
where loves light is perpetual
Every glance of you is like the first
Look in my eyes my love is there

I would rather choose to halt with thee,
And let the world run past in glee,
And like the immortal elements of the universe,
I would plead the time to reverse,
To return where the existence had begun,
When there was love, in Adam and Eve,
Gleaming beneath,
The same glistening stars.
The same luminescent moon,
And the same blazing Sun....

Dreams of the Druid

Lilting cadence
Misted and serene
Song of the wood
Verdant dreams
Sylvan awareness lullaby me
Ere before slumbers breach
Show me that, which I can’t see
Arboreal memories just out of reach
Ancient
Patient
Wise
Serene
Collective whispers bid me sleep
neath oaken guardian
On bed of leaves
To the tree how odd I must seem
I am the meteors momentary dream
Spending life as if no tomorrow
We shine short and bright
Mans blessing and our sorrow
Oh tolerant tree
When you dream with me
Show me my love across the sea
Let us dance neath crystal seas
I would touch her soul
Ever
So
Gently
Pity the lovelorn need
Would you
Could you
Dear, ancient tree?

Poeta y Poetisa

Poeta y  Poetisa

There is no crimson signature
Escritor
You’re beholden to thine self-alone
The parchment is empty unbound
So fill it
Bleed for the words
Love for the memories
Laugh for the pain
Should you stumble?
Rise from the dust
Do it again
Embrace yourself and all who need love
Did I mention laugh for the pain?
I did?
Then laugh again
Take every chance you dare
Run don’t walk
Life is good but hardly fair
Set blot to parchment
Ignore those who think you a pox
We are the shakers
Thinkers outside the box
Let your spirit learn
Forget luke warm
Better to burn
See the love and the glory
See the hidden story
Watch the rage
Make the world turn
Fill the page!!!

A Soul to kill

I have madness not of mind but of soul
A Malady born in the recognition
I author pain
I shelter it
A calamitous embryonic node
Swaddled in the ethereal soul
I’ve learned to love its receival
Mocked by the mirrior in the lonely hours
My nemesis bids me fruition of infant madness
Should I grasp the molding straw that is my past?
The cloying scent of decay and fungal resolution
Shall I hold it like a shaking a lover giving power to darker conceptions?
Warrior? Come out and plaaay.
Womanizer don your formals there is mischief to embrace
Drunkard goad the bad ass lets walk the walk
Crazy damn poet, there are extremes to embrace
There is a world to grieve
There are loves to hold.
Bartender another double of abuse please
I have madness not of mind but of soul

Dawns light smiles and love awakens

Dawns light smiles and love awakens
I look thru eyes that see only you
This unbidden joy impossible to ignore
A wave of of emotion tingles every pore
Every waking moment centers around you
How can you be so far away yet live inside of me
A secret world inside my heart I’m touching all of you
Please thoughts behave!! I’ve so much more to do
Still I hold your hand on sunset beach
We cuddle close near the bonfires reach
Talk and laugh for hours on end
We’re dancing close over and again
We play around as lovers do
We share the looks just made for two
Making plans for a lifetime
In this world that’s in my mind
