In Between

In Between
We will see the sky painted in oceans blue
Because in between there is only me and you
We will breathe deeply and not be repelled
At the elusive line between heaven and hell
Sometimes I hide in shadows and I sing alone
Feral and hungry I growl and I moan
I imagine you singing, our voices meld
My beast then slumbers once more repelled
Awaken human let my guitar sing
Of gentler climes and lovely things
Can’t see in the dark or stare at the sun
We meet in the twilight like mustangs we run
Bite the fruit of Eden lick the juice on my chin
Goodbye regrets we’ve bought our sin.
Cast off the past, play our favorite tune
Secret dancers under light of the moon
