Ivory Tower

Ivory Tower

Upon the cliff top Rapunzel she perched
Renting her gown in the final purge
I spied her intent calling “ fight the urge”
Rapunzel’s despaired “ I haven’t the nerve”
Reprieve I would take
Would my true love allayed
The one who’s forsaken has kept me waylaid
Cast in an ivory tower is no life you know
Her jailor muted to only worship below
Blinded by progressions haste
Words of poison and rape
Why does he deceive and bereave
I’ve no more horizon
no more to achieve
I’ve rented my tresses for the final ropes weave
Once to often my hearts been deceived
Hence craft of my own making I have achieved
Aiding the soliquial curtains taking
A parachute to oblivion from a life of senseless hating
Rapunzel don’t go for I am he
I am the one who would marry thee
I’ve been waylaid and shorn and  shown great refuse
I tarried the night away with the devils own muse
I’ve acted the rogue in rebellious deluge
I see now my fortune is cast with thee
Rapunzal don’t go have discourse with me
one moment in time to look in my eyes
Yes you could jump or you could be mine
Rapunzel Rapunzel let me change your mind
