So·lil·o·quy by Michael Garland and Shilpa Sandish

Let the world stop and die
Not so my beloved and I
Like the dawn of all contentment
we have forever in each other
where loves light is perpetual
Every glance of you is like the first
Look in my eyes my love is there

I would rather choose to halt with thee,
And let the world run past in glee,
And like the immortal elements of the universe,
I would plead the time to reverse,
To return where the existence had begun,
When there was love, in Adam and Eve,
Gleaming beneath,
The same glistening stars.
The same luminescent moon,
And the same blazing Sun....
